God inspired the prophets and disciples to write the Bible by placing His Word in their hearts and minds. The Bible is God’s true and inspired Word, and serves as the most useful manual for life. The fact that all of the Bible’s prophecies have come true, proves that God’s Word is infallible. See the following scriptures:

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 Peter 1:21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 18:21-22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken.

But all the prophecies in the Word of God, the Bible, were spoken by God’s prophets and they all came true. For example, Isaiah prophesied that Cyrus would allow the Jews to leave their captivity in Babylon to go back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple, and then, many years later King Cyrus of Persia defeated the Babylonians and issued a decree allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem.

I urge the reader to study the prophecies and how they were fulfiilled as shown in the scriptures and in the historical documentation.

A good deal of my book, “The Bible is No Fairy Tale!” deals with prophecies that have come true in both Old and New Testament times.

The classic songs and hymns teach many basic Bible truths. They are based on solid scriptures from the Bible and teach us valuable lessons. Take the song “When Jesus Comes.” Click on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLW09Fx7Qdw  to see it sung by George Beverley Shea in 1968 at a Billy Graham crusade. The song shows how the blind beggar could not see, but when Jesus, the light of the world, came he instantly healed the man. When Jesus comes He will wipe away our tears, heal us, and if we accept him as Savior, He will give us eternal life and peace of mind. The Gospels are full of miracles performed by Jesus including healing of the blind, lame, and deaf, and even the raising of Lazarus from the dead.  Jesus is called the light of the world who shines in the darkness of our souls to set us free. He will take away our gloom and fill our life with God’s Glory, and we will be filled with the Holy Spirit which will help us stay close to God and develop good fruits such as love, faith, patience, goodness, etc. All is changed when Jesus comes to us and we accept him. We become new creations, and sons of God.  Things still will go wrong, but we will be able to have peace through the times of trouble, knowing God will never forsake us.

Miracles still happen today if we pray in total faith with a pure heart. God heals. He gives us peace. He provides for our needs.

On Friday, September 4, 2009, I was interviewed on South Florida radio station WAFG by Jerry Newcombe, Dr. Min, author, and Senior TV producer about my book. I enjoyed being able to provide a strong defense for the hope that lies within me (that Jesus is the Son of God, that God’s Word is true, and that by accepting Jesus I am a new creation and will have eternal life in the presence of God after my time here on earth is over). We discussed my personal testimony about how God instantly healed me from a debilitating spinal problem,  how all the prophecies in the Bible have come true,  how evolution is false, and that God created the heavens, the earth, and all life on earth.
