Is Obama Care Good for our Country? Part 2

This is an update to my original post on this issue, in which I pointed out that Obama Care will result in another huge deficit, and will result in huge cuts to the Medicare program.
Now I have read that not only will 50 Billion be cut from Medicare, but also the Medicare benefits paid to doctors will be cut by 25 percent, starting in a year or two. If this occurs, doctors will refuse to see Medicare patients, leaving the elderly in a precarious state where they will be hard pressed to find a doctor who will treat them. To some extent the same thing already is occurring with Medicaid. I recently called every doctor listed in my neighborhood to see if any of them would treat a person I met who is on Medicaid, and none of them accepted Medicaid, so I finally had to bring him to an outpatient hospital clinic.
If Obama Care eventually results in a government run health care system, then, in my opinion, we will be in trouble. Will we be faced with health care rationing and be put on long waiting lists for surgery that is needed right away? This is occurring in other countries with socialized medicine, resulting in many people running to America to get the surgery they need.
In my original post, I pointed out how inefficiently the government runs everything they touch, like the clunker car program. Now it turns out that even though they knew of the danger of the swine flu since last spring, the government origianlly gave us their assurances that 120 milliong doses of the vaccine would be ready by mid to end October, then reduced this promise to 40 million, and now only 13 million doses are available.
Doctors around the country are running out of the vaccine. In fact, on the news today it was reported that no longer will the federal government mandate that all health care workers be vaccinated as there is a shortage of the vaccine, and priority must now be given to those people most at risk. So we see that even with a relatively simple health issue, the government has failed us and now, indeed, rationing of a life-saving vaccine has resulted.
We need to pray that the swine flu will not result in a massive epidemic, but if this does occur it will be because our government failed to deliver on its promise. We need to pray that God sends the Holy Spirit to convict our leaders that what they are doing is wrong, and softens their hearts so they cease politicking and do what is right.
If our government can’t even handle the vaccine program properly, why should we believe they could properly handle our health care system?
In my opinion, all the current Senate and House plans need to be scrapped, and then we need to start over with a more sesible plan. If you agree, contact your Congresssmen and women and let them know how you feel.
